NYSTAR Joins CS3 Smart Streetscapes Advisory Board

The Center for Smart Streetscapes (CS3) welcomes Empire State Development’s Division of Science, Technology and Innovation (NYSTAR) to its Smart Streetscapes Advisory Board (SSAB), a group of industry, non-profit, and public sector organizations that provides feedback on the Center’s innovation ecosystem.

Toby Garcia, Senior Program Manager of Entrepreneurship Acceleration, will serve as NYSTAR’s SSAB representative. Garcia brings extensive experience in entrepreneurship and accelerator management to the SSAB, which helps steer CS3’s VALIDATE Accelerator Program. The CS3 Accelerator focuses on building and scaling early-stage companies through in-depth education, mentorship, and business model design.

“ESD’s promotion of a robust network of industry-university partnerships throughout New York State is a powerful example of impact in this sphere,” said Andrew Smyth, CS3 Director. “Their continued support of the Center and participation on the Smart Streetscapes Advisory Board shows their commitment to innovative technologies and entrepreneurship.”
