CS3 Participates in Smart City Expo USA 2024

The Center for Smart Streetscapes was thrilled to participate in Smart City Expo USA 2024 over the last two days.

CS3 Director Andrew Smyth had a fruitful panel discussion on “Testbeds: Scaling & Piloting Frontier Tech” with leaders spanning the frontier of smart technology applications in New York City — Paul Rothman (Director of Smart Cities + IoT at New York City Office of Technology & Innovation), John Petinos (New York City Economic Development Corporation Assistant VP), Lauren Wang (Director of Climate Programs at Trust for Governors Island), and Matthew Harrison (Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation SVP of Development).

And four of our VALIDATE Accelerator student teams shared their projects with attendees — Caspar Lant (WalkWise), Marco Tedesco (Climate Impact), Dan Zimmerman (FloodSense), and Mahshid Ghasemi (KeeVeeve).

We’re already looking forward to Smart City Expo USA 2025!
