Barbara Askins (center) provides an overview of work accomplished with the 2024 CPR cohort and next steps in 2025.
On January 7, 2025, CS3 hosted the launch event for its 2025 community partners in residence (CPR) program in the Harlem testbed. The event included a discussion of the 149 unique needs and issues identified by the CPR cohort during the 2024 program and a look-ahead to 2025 opportunities for community members to join CS3 researchers for co-design workshops or pilot review boards.
CS3 Director Andrew Smyth and Senior Advisor Barbara Askins (who is also President & CEO of the 125th St BID in Harlem), are co-chairing the CPR program this year. The program manager is Fernanda Martinez, who was recently promoted to an Associate Director position within the Center. In her new role, Fernanda’s management portfolio is expanding to include community engagement in addition to educational outreach and student leadership programs.
